What to expect
Rann of Kutch White Desert Ride is a fully supported group expedition from Ahmedabad to Dhordo, run by riders who have done this route many times over. You ride your own motorcycle or take one of ours; either way a backup vehicle follows the group with a mechanic, spares, fuel and your luggage. Night halts, permits and meals are arranged in advance so you can focus on the road. Comfortable for anyone with a valid licence and a few long rides behind them.
What you'll do, step by step
Report at the Ahmedabad start point for licence and permit checks, bike allotment, gear fitting and the ride briefing. Flag-off after breakfast.
Long highway stretches with the backup vehicle sweeping behind. Fuel stops roughly every 150 km, dhaba lunches, and night halts booked ahead.
A planned rest day to acclimatise, service the bikes and let the group recover before the hardest sections.
The section riders sign up for: desert ride at its best, on the way to Dhordo.
Arrival at Dhordo, group photos, bike handover and certificates. Onward travel assistance provided.
