What to expect
Manali to Leh Himalayan Expedition is a fully supported group expedition from Manali to Leh, Ladakh, run by riders who have done this route many times over. You ride your own motorcycle or take one of ours; either way a backup vehicle follows the group with a mechanic, spares, fuel and your luggage. Night halts, permits and meals are arranged in advance so you can focus on the road. Expect long riding days, ghat sections and changeable weather. A valid motorcycle licence and some long-distance experience are required.

Luggage went in the backup vehicle so we rode light, and it was waiting at every hotel. Small thing, but it changes the whole trip.
Crossed passes I'd only seen in videos. The crew checked tyre pressure and chain slack every morning before we rolled out. Properly professional outfit.
